Ready for the Weekend

It's Friday! Some weeks I am more excited about Friday than others...this week I am excited and ready for the weekend. It's been a great week, very busy at work, 2 basketball games, a late work night...you know, the usual. My pinched nerve is not gone but it is better and after what I've been through I will take better! I do believe it's almost healed. Last night was the first night in 13 that I didn't take pain meds to sleep. I think that is progress! I still can't raise my left arm up over my head which means I haven't properly blow dried my hair in 14 days. Thank God for hair clips and bangs! This experience was maddening, I hope I never have a pinched nerve again.

Since the pinched nerve, I haven't been exercising either. I'm actually looking forward to some treadmill time very soon. That 40th birthday is looming and I still have 36 pounds to lose! Lately I could walk outside the weather has been so nice.

I can't believe January is over next week. It has completely flown by...I realize at this moment that I mention time flying a lot on this blog...but good gosh it really seems to fly!

Spencer is doing great in school and in basketball. The season will be over soon which makes me sad. It's been fun watching him play. Whatever will I do with my two free week nights? hmmm.

I absolutely love Seinfeld. We watch it a lot during dinner, it's a staple at our house. For years I didn't think there could be another tv show as good as Seinfeld, a show that I could watch over and over and never tire. Well, there is a new show like that for me, Big Bang Theory. It's so funny and clever. We
like it and now it is in syndication so there are lot of reruns on at night. If you haven't seen this show, check TBS and catch an episode, you will be glad you did.

Driving to work in the mornings can sometimes be rough, it does take me 35 minutes. Luckily I have xm radio to get me through. Some mornings I choose music, 80s on 8 or lately I've been stuck on 70s on 7...I really love music from the 70s. I can thank my parents for my early music education. Some mornings I listen to Mike and Mike on espn radio talk about sports. One morning this week I was listening to them and a commercial about beef played. I was mesmerized! Matthew McConaughey's voice was telling me how many cuts of beef there were and how I should have filet mignon tonight for dinner. Yes sir, I will do that Matthew! He has a very sexy, deep, southern voice and he's going to sell a lot of beef. Beef, it's what's for dinner! You can listen to the ad here.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
